The morning of the Pedro & Amanda’s wedding day turned out to be a cloudy one, and by the afternoon it was raining. This was my third rainy wedding day of the year, which is strange, considering we live in a desert area. But you won’t find me complaining about it! The cloudy weather makes for such beautiful, soft light. We finished all but the family formals before the rain started. So instead of taking the pictures outside in a pecan orchard, we had to move to Plan B: the church. Fortunately, the church had large open spaces to accommodate the big group.
Amanda has a large family with 17 nieces and nephews! She absolutely loves kids and made sure to include them in special ways during the ceremony.
My absolute favorite part of the day was Pedro and Amanda’s first look. Before Pedro turned around to see Amanda, they shared their vows standing back to back. There were so many moments when Pedro was moved to tears and it was the sweetest thing to witness. When he finally got to turn around and see Amanda, he was overcome with emotion and wrapped her up in a hug, burying his face in her shoulder. I’ve never seen a more emotional first look.
I love how Pedro and Amanda’s love and joy shine through in the pictures! It’s obvious how much Amanda adores Pedro and how much he cherishes her. Weddings like these always refresh and remind me why I love my job so much.
