Pancho & Trudy’s wedding was a simple yet heartfelt celebration with family and friends. Rather than following all the traditions, they planned their day in a way that was meaningful and enjoyable for them.
Trudy told me that the most important thing for her was to celebrate and enjoy the day. No unnecessary stress or pressure. For her, that meant no bridal party and very little portraits. And honestly, I appreciate that so much! A lot of times weddings can feel more like content shoots than actual celebrations of love and the start of a new life together. This wedding was such a good reminder of what truly matters.
When Trudy and I met up before the wedding to discuss details, we ended up spending a few hours together, chatting about life. We went from planning the wedding day timeline to talking about her and Pancho’s love story, to sharing about our personal lives and how God’s love has been changing our hearts. Afterward she showed me her flower garden where she was raising flowers for the arrangements at the reception. I left that meeting with a full and happy heart. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, connections like these is why I love my job so much!
Trudy had a chill morning, getting ready with her sisters and closest friends. After lunch we drove to the venue for her and Pancho’s first look, followed by pictures with their families. Then we had a couple free hours before the ceremony; Lorissa and I had such a fun time hanging out with Trudy and her friend Elena. By the end of the day they seemed more like friends than clients. After the ceremony, Trudy and Pancho wanted a few pictures of just the two of them before going to celebrate with their guests at the reception. We’ll be doing a post-wedding session to get more portraits and I’m so excited for it already!
