Every time I look back at Eldon and Lily’s wedding photos I get excited all over again! Their day was perfect in every way. I loved the pastel color palette they chose for their wedding; the outdoor ceremony was absolutely stunning; and the casual brunch at the end was a fun twist on regular wedding receptions.
I’ll be honest, at the time of their wedding I was going through a season of creative burnout. But while doing their pictures I felt my energy, creativity and excitement start to come back again. It was as if the summery theme and bright, fresh florals birthed fresh life and inspiration in me. I remember thinking at the end of the day that I was so excited to do more weddings in the future.
Lily booked my gold package which includes second day coverage. So we did all of their formal photos on Friday afternoon. This made the next day, the day of their wedding, super relaxed and chill. My second shooter and I showed up Saturday morning, well-rested, to document the ceremony and reception and then we were ready to head out before noon.
You could tell from the setup of the ceremony that every detail had been carefully planned out. From the florals lining the aisle, to the floweryl paper cups at the reception, every detail was coordinated to match the garden theme. (Even Lily’s sandals had cute little flowers on them!) Moments in Time Events outdid themselves with the florals, decor and food. Shout out to them for their extraordinary work!
And let’s talk about brunch time! The well-crafted brunch bar was a big hit with guests (as well as the wedding photographer). There were waffles, pancakes, berries, a delicious cream topping, as well as cold meats, cheese and kringel. Let me just say, those waffles were the best I’ve ever eaten!
Lilienna graciously gifted the flowers from the ceremony setup to her guests, so all the little girls had the best of times picking out flowers to create little bouquets. It was such a sweet gesture and so fun to watch.
